Dr. Schaffer's book contains excellent advice for all ages. You will not be disappointed by his wisdom, easy to read text, and tips regarding financial security and success. Dr. Schaffer is a highly intelligent individual, a strong faculty member of a University, and an admired leader in the community. Although the title is "Financial Planning for College Graduates", I recommend the book for everyone.
A great read for anyone wanting to learn how to increase their financial net worth by tens of thousands of dollars over their lifetime. It is very sound financial advice from someone who has been in the financial services industry for many years and also teaches at a university level. I promise you won't be disappointed by the nuggets found within. I have been following many of these financial principles for years and it has resulted in a debt-free lifestyle, a high net worth, and a good portion of my money invested in income producing assets. If you would like to learn more about how to be financially sound, I would highly recommend that you learn the principles in this book, especially college graduates! Start life off well and you won't regret it.
This book is written clearly, in everyday language, for people who have been out of college for a few years, and those about to enter the workplace. It covers areas many other financial planning books do not, such as 'How to Buy a Car' and 'Choosing Employee Benefits', and 'Preventing Identity Theft'. Of course, it also covers budgeting, debt reduction, making money grow, and many other topics. Take a look at the chapters here on . The chapters are short...6-7 pages on average. And there are 'Action Items' at the end of each chapter to make financial planning easy for the reader. This short book can make thousands and thousands of dollars difference. It is an easy read.
This book covers the basics of everything a college graduate needs to know. It’s very helpful. The chapters are short, sweet, and to the point which is convenient when you don’t have a lot of time. He gives REALLY good essential tips that you MUST know when you graduate and beyond. As someone who was never been taught this material and doesn’t even know what questions to ask, this is really helpful and is the light at the end of a tunnel. He explains everything really well. I hope he writes more books in the future.
